Tairi Michael Lamar James ,also known as “ESKIMO JONES”, was born April 25 1983 in Philadelphia, PA where he spent his early years . Later he and his mother moved to Harrisburg PA  on “The Hill” where a young Eskimo began to make a name for himself. At the age of 10 he wrote his first song. That was in 1993 and by 1999 Eskimo Jones was signed with Real Entertainment a Independent Label in PA .

Real Entertainment split up in 2011. Eskimo’s reaction to this unfortunate turn of events? The young artist set out to start his own label, 4 Duub Records. Today the label is teaming with amazing talent.

This artist connected with “Off The Wall Gang”, a well known group of producers and engineers, and quickly seized the opportunity to be the first artist to record hip-hop lyrics over the catchy well produced beats. Impressed by the quality of his content, “OTWG” did not hesitate in teaming up with this hard working and focused young man. Later on, joining “NOLO” and working with Nat King in 2014 added even more depth and local reach to his Career.

Eskimo’s musical accomplishments are many. The 717 Music Awards has nominated this talented artist every year since the ceremony was launched. In 2016 Eskimo won the 717 Music Award for “Best Party Video” for the popular “Fuck Up the Kitchen” video, from his self released project OTWGBEATS COLLAB Tape. 

A popular, confident and seasoned performer he has opened for Trey Songs and Fabolous. Among the list of talented people he has worked with is Sean Paine. Eskimo notes this artist and says “He’s Gonna Be Big”. His excitement and love for searching out, working in collaboration with and producing great talent has earned him great amounts of love and respect. The community does not fail to show up in droves when his name is on he bill.

This artist writes consistently his many self released projects include:
Sweet 717, Coldest Winner Ever, 4 Duub Compilation, Based on a true Story, Bass Bitches Only, Swagavelli, Mood Music 5, Three Days in the Lab, Half Time Show   …..  and many others. The catalog is impressive to say the lest.

When asked who his influences are, his answer is Naz, JayZ, Trick Daddy, Solider Boy, Future, Young Thug and in his own words “A LOT MORE”  This unsigned professional artist is a joy to work with.
